Punjabi Poetry and its culture


Punjab is Pakistan's largest province in terms of population. That's why Punjabi language and culture dominate cultural portrait of the country. However, after independence, Pakistan needs things to unite the various ethnic and cultural groups to become one nation. Therefore, the state promoted the use of Urdu to represent a common national culture of Pakistan.
The people of Punjab Urdu and adapted with the inclusion of Urdu and Punjabi, the culture of northern India and immigrants and the culture of the people of Punjab, a beautiful new cultural landscape born. A part of this cultural landscape is Pakistani music.
Today Punjabi poetry comes in a variety of flavors. There are traditional Punjabi poetry, but then there are also funny Punjabi, Punjabi sms, Punjabi Rock Pakistan and Punjabi Sufi Songs, Punjabi sms and Punjabi shayari.
Similar experiments were done in India; However Indian Punjabi poetry shayari limited to Indian Punjabi speaking areas. Until or unless they are part of some great Hindi movie, which usually do not get so much popularity nationwide.
There are some key features of Punjabi poetry that make them different from Indian Punjabi Poetry. Pakistani Punjabi SMS poetry based much more on poetry. The poetic effect of the Urdu language can be seen and observed in Pakistani Punjabi Poetry easily. The traditional model of Urdu poetry used to write the lyrics of Punjabi shayari.
Since the culture of Punjab is divided between India, Pakistan and now you can say that Punjabi community in the UK also shared the same cultural background. There is so much that these cultures share and borrow from each other, and the Punjabi sms Punjabi poetry has no boundaries and does not understand the rivalry between India and Pakistan. It is common and cherished over the border and the songs of Punjab enjoyed across the globe from Punjabi and non Punjabi South Asians.
